THE AUSTRALIAN CLAY TARGET ASSOCIATION presents the 2026 NATIONAL SKEET CHAMPIONSHIPS
TO BE HELD AT ACTA NATIONAL GROUND, WAGGA WAGGA Sunday 8th March – Saturday 14th March 2026

National Events to commence at 8.30am daily

Placings Overall - Graded AA, A, B, C, 1st , 2nd ,& 3rd  plus 1st ,2nd ,3rd in Sub-Junior, Junior, Women’s, Senior (>55-<65) & Veterans (>65).

A minimum of two competitors must compete in sections & grades to constitute a competition

SUNDAY 8TH MARCH 2026

EVENT 1: 11th NATIONAL 28G SKEET CHAMPIONSHIP OF 100 TARGETS

 

MONDAY 9TH MARCH 2026

EVENT 2: 11th NATIONAL 410 BORE SKEET CHAMPIONSHIP OF 100 TARGETS

Skeet Hall of Fame Dinner (6.30pm for 7pm)

 

TUESDAY 10TH MARCH 2026

EVENT 3:  27TH NATIONAL 20G SKEET CHAMPIONSHIP OF 100 TARGETS

The Overall Winner shall receive the John Withers Memorial Perpetual Trophy

 

WEDNESDAY 11TH MARCH 2026

STATE SHOULDER TO SHOULDER TEAMS SHOOT commencing at 8.00am

Glenn Trophy Shoot

Followed by Opening Ceremony at 10am       

EVENT 4:  26th  NATIONAL SKEET HANDICAP OF 50 TARGETS

The Overall Winner shall receive the Col Burt Memorial Perpetual Trophy

Placings 1st to 5th

 

THURSDAY 12TH MARCH 2026

EVENT 5:  2026 COMMONWEALTH SKEET CHAMPIONSHIP OF 100 TARGETS

The Overall Winner shall receive the Adrian Hayes Memorial Perpetual Trophy

AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND SKEET POSTAL CHALLENGE

(TEAM IS SELECTED ON EVENTS 4 & 5)

To be shot Thursday afternoon if time permits otherwise 8am Friday morning

 

FRIDAY 13TH MARCH 2026

EVENT 6:  56th NATIONAL 12G SKEET CHAMPIONSHIP OF 100 TARGETS

The Overall Winner shall receive the A&E Pederson Memorial Perpetual Trophy

 

SATURDAY 14TH MARCH 2026

EVENT 7: 39th NATIONAL SKEET DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP OF 100 TARGETS

The Overall Winner shall receive the Paul Johnston Perpetual Trophy

 

EVENT 8: 19TH NATIONAL SKEET CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

Shot 25tgt 28g, 410 Bore, 20g, 12g

The Overall Winner shall receive the Casella Wines Perpetual Trophy

To be eligible, shooter must enter events 1, 2, 3 & 6 (28, 410 Bore, 20, 12 gauge) events,

Championship score is the total of the last (25tgts) score in each of the 4 events

HIGH GUNS on Events 3 to 7:

OVERALL

 GRADED: AA, A, B, C

SUB-JUNIOR, JUNIOR, WOMENS, SENIOR (>55-<65), VETERAN (>65) 

All Australian Skeet Team

Glenn Trophy team to be selected over events 4, 5 and 6. (To compete in New Zealand in 2027
World USA Team to be selected over events 3, 4, 5 and 6. (to travel in 2026)

Additional awards include:

  • FITASC Five Person Club Team Event
  •  Two Person Team Event
  • Two Women Team Event
  •  Mixed Pairs Team Event

Nominations for the team events are taken at the events office as cash payments.

 

ACTA/ASSA Junior Initiative

A joint venture to promote junior participation for Skeet Shooting in Australia

Prize: 1st Place $1,000 and 2nd Place $500

Eligibility: Under the age of 18 years at the start of the Skeet Nationals and an ACTA member.

Criteria: Any 100 target score from any State or Territory 12g State title of any State carnival. Submit as many State 12g scores as you like and use the best one. Plus the combined scores of the National – Handicap, 20g, 12g and Commonwealth events.Eg:100+350=450 targets total. Best two scores win.

Commencement: 1st April 2025 until the completion of the 2026 Skeet Nationals

The ACTA reserves the right to alter the program.
