The Australian Clay Target Association (ACTA) is responsible for administrating, promoting and developing the sport of clay target shooting. Clay target is a sport that can be enjoyed by the whole family as a recreation at a local gun club, or at a competition level from registered club events to regional, state, national and international competitions. These include World Championships, Commonwealth and Olympic Games.

Clay Target Shooting has different disciplines which you can try, including: Trap, Skeet, ISSF and Sporting Clays. Each discipline varies in its approach and delivery of targets to give a choice and different experience with Clay Target Shooting.  The ACTA provides information on local, state, national and international competitions. You will find many interesting areas, including Coaching, Referees, Membership, Hall of Fame, the Clay Target Shooting News magazine & much more.

Trap Hall of Fame Dinner - 2026

The 2026 Trap Hall of Fame Dinner will be held on Monday 13th April 2026 at The Range Function Centre, 308 Copland St, East Wagga Wagga (ACTA national grounds).
Time: 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Ticket sales close at 5pm AEST on the 9th April 2026, no refunds after closing date.

Featuring the presentation of the 2025 Hall of Fame Induction of John Maxwell and Bruce Powell
Also presentation of the 2025 Doug Smith Medalist Matthew Stokes.

CARVERY

Mustard Crusted Roast Beef Sirloin, 8 hr slow cooked Herb and Garlic Lamb Shoulder, Roasted Chicken Medallions pocketed with macadamia, cranberry and cream cheese, Bolognaise Pasta Bake, Classic roasted vegetables assortment of potatoes, pumpkin, sweet potato, parsnip and beetroot. Medley of steamed fresh greens - beans, asparagus, snowpeas, Cauliflower and broccoli au gratin, Rich gravy, mustard, tangy mint sauce, spiced apple sauce, Garlic bread.

Dessert: Rich apple strudel, Warm sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce, Lemon meringue slice, Fresh fruit salad, Cream and custard.

Seats are $46 per adult, $10 per child (5-11 years of age and under) $20 per child (11-15 year of age). Single tickets are available or tables of 10 people.
